Birthday, Father's Day and the loss of a dear friend

I had every intention of posting on a more timely fashion, but that has fallen to the way side again. Lots of things have happened since my last post. I had a birthday last week, which is fun for presents, but just plain sucks as the number goes up. I don't want to get older. As I get older, so does Philip. I would love to keep him little forever. He is so much fun. For a birthday celebration for mom (wink, wink) we went here:

This is awesome, because every other time that we have gone he as screamed and screamed and it wasn't enjoyable for anyone. He even began to run for the door once! This time he put on his big boy pants and had a good time with Chuck E Cheese. Very proud moment for us!

This is my dear friend Tai. Her life was taken at the age of 26. She fought a good fight with cancer. 18 months ago, it was discovered that she had rectal cancer. From there it spread to her colon, ovaries and liver. She underwent chemo, and that seemed to be working. In April she was readmited to the hospital and after waiting 3 weeks for the chemo to leave her body, underwent surgery again. At that time it was discovered that the cancer had spread and there wasn't anything they could do. She entered Hospice on May 6 and entered heaven on June 18.

Tai always found the good in everyone. She lived every moment to it's fullest. I only hope that I can someday be half the person she was. I love you Tai! You are my hero!

I need to start blogging again!

I have been gone way too long my friends. The time has come to start blogging again. I just bought a new computer, so that we definetly help my begin blogging since I can just pop in my memory card and away we go. Whoo hoo! I'll just give you some stats on my big boy, since he just turned 2 years old.....gulp! He is 39 inches tall and weighs in at 37 pounds. He is huge my friends. He doesn't even look or act like a 2 year old. I really miss my baby these days. He is afraid of nothing and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. That determination will get him far in life.

The need to start blogging again is many. This was my "baby book" for my little man and I have slacked off. I do have Face.book to look back on, as many of his firsts have been blogged there too. This was my one safe place to go and let it all out and I miss that. I feel like I am letting Philip down by not posting as much on here. There are many many months I missed out on, and I can't get those back.

Hopefully some of my old readers will make a return trip, and come back to see us again. Who knows, maybe even a few new ones will come in to say Hi! I do know this, I have missed you my friends!
