I missed some.....

events that I should have blogged. Naughty me! First off, happy 34th birthday to my husband and happy 6 month birthday to my son. Both events happened on November 14 and I didn't blog them. Ooops. I can't believe that my little man is 6 months old already. He is getting so big! We go to the doc on Monday so I'll have stats then for you. On Friday I was changing him and getting him ready to go the sitters. I was putting overalls on him and he was getting mad at me. He didn't want to be fussed with and was letting that be known. As I'm pulling up his pants he starts screaming "da-da. da-da." I laughed and went silly boy, mommy isn't hurting you. So he gets a frown on his head and starts in again "da-da-da-da. da-da." only louder this time. Finally Ryan comes in and asks what all the racquet is about and I tell him that I'm dressing Philip and he isn't having any of it. Ryan laughs, leans over gives Philip a kiss and says "Da da loves you!" Philip looks up at Ryan and with a smile on his face says "Da-da." It was the cutest thing ever and brought me to tears. Ryan couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift. Now all I hear in the house is da da da da. ALL THE TIME! I carry the kid for 9 months and he says "da da" first. Go figure.

He is so ready to crawl. I expect him to take off any day now. He rocks back and forth on his hands and knees and has such determination in his eyes. Then he gets frustrated and lays himself back down. Poor kid is trying really hard and is so close. He is sitting up really well now and every now and then will fall backwards, which he really doesn't care for much. Can't blame him, I'm sure it doesn't feel good. He can roll over to his tummy now and gets right up into the crawling position. I'll have to take a movie of it and post it. It's so cute.

Happy 6 month birthday baby!

I've been gone too long!

Oh my, I don't even know where to start........I have missed so much that there are too many updates, so we will start small. Philip got his first tooth last wednesday. Bottom left came in. Boy oh boy was he crabby. I felt so bad for him and we ended up giving him tylenol every night before bed. Poor kiddo wasn't happy at all. I can't say I blame him though. He also got his first word that day. Can you believe it? First word already! I was telling a fellow teacher about Philip's big accomplishment, being a proud momma and all, and the teacher ended up making me feel stupid in front of everyone. The comment was "Do you think your kid is a genius or something?" What? I was just excited that Philip actually said something, besides babble, and that it made perfect sense what he said. I am far from saying my child is brilliant. He is normal and not every child is textbook. Funny I would have to tell a TEACHER that, huh? Anywho, guess what his first word was? Not momma, dadda or babba.........nope his first word was NUM NUMS. It is so funny to hear him SCREAM this every time he wants to eat. I talk baby talk to him, which I know some think you shouldn't, but he is only little once. I ask him everyday if he wants num nums when he starts whimpering. Never did I expect him to yell it at me one day. He sits in his chair and just screams "NUM NUM NUM NUM NUM NUM" which is so funny! Once you start to give him his food he shuts his eyes turns his head to the side and says "MMMMMMMMMMMMM!" Too goofy.

I said I didn't know where to start because since last week, Philip has gotten his second tooth. Bottom right came through sometime sunday night into monday morning. He went to bed hard on Sunday and was a crab. Poor kid had every right to be though, I'm sure getting teeth hurts something fierce.

I will leave you with a couple of pics so I have more to post about tomorrow!

Here he is all decked out for his MSU and UofM game. GO STATE!

He helped me pick pumpkins for the kindergarten classes!

5 months old already!

Oh my goodness time sure flies! I can't believe my little guy is 5 months old already. He is just growing like a weed. I don't have the latest pictures to put up because my dad borrowed the cord to the camera and hasn't returned it yet. Nice.....what a good grandpa! He is getting his first teeth, so he hasn't been a happy camper at night. During the day he is good for the sitter, but when he gets sleepy then he gets cranky. I don't blame him, I'm sure it hurts. He is even crying in his sleep lately. He'll be snoring and sound asleep and then cry. I finally brought him into bed with me this morning and let him nurse for a little while. It seemed to help. I'm sure it's his teeth trying to come in. He gets up on his hands and knees now so I don't think crawling is too far off. He wants to get down and play with everything and run with the kiddos, he just can't put it all together enough yet. I need to start baby proofing the house. We are no where close to being ready for him to crawl yet. I will post pictures soon! Just wanted to say happy 5th month to my little guy! Mommy sure loves him!

Ugh.....it has been one of those weeks!

I just hate it when the week starts off rough! On saturday I woke up with the worst bladder infection of my life. I would take labor any day over the pain I was feeling from this bladder infection! OMG it was horrendous! I had the pain, frequent and intense urgency to pee and blood. Yep, I had it all. I called the doc on call and he told me he would call something in for me that I could take while I'm breastfeeding......if I couldn't take it then I didn't want it. He agreed that it wouldn't be a problem and that I would feel relief by Sunday afternoon. Yeah, didn't happen! I was just as miserable on Sunday as I was on Saturday. I thought I'll just give it time and I'll feel better on Monday. Yeah, once again wrong! Monday I found myself in an all day meeting 2 hours from home. I bet you can guess what that was like........yeah, Amy kept leaving the meeting every, oh 1/2 hour or so to pee. I seriously thought about taking one of philip's diapers with me, but then thought better of it. On my way home I called the doc to see if there was anything they could do, I can't keep living like this. They squeezed me in for the last appointment of the day to give a sample. She told me I have one of the worst infections she has ever seen....I have heard this before, in fact almost a year ago. I usually don't feel them, so the fact I felt this one told me it was a doosie! Then she gave me the good news....."you can't breastfeed on the antibiotic I'm giving you." and looks at Philip in his carseat. I told her that wasn't going to work. He needs his milk jugs on a daily basis or he screams. She said I take the medicine or she was going to admit me to the hospital. So needless to say we are on our second day with no milk jugs. It has been wonderful....sense the sarcasm in that statement. He didn't want the bottle last night or this morning and both times cried like he was being beaten and broke down and took it looking at me like I was a terrible mom. I don't know how much longer I can do this! In my mind I'm already telling myself that I'll stop the pills friday morning then I can feed him Saturday afternoon. But that is a long time from now! I don't know that we will make it until then. I do have to say though that I feel wonderful. I thought for sure I had a kidney infection. My back was sore, I felt sick to my stomach and I had the chills. Today, no pain or blood or frequency. I'm a new woman I tell you!

Philip got weighed last week Wednesday, he was 20 weeks old and weighed 16 pounds 10.5 ounces and was 26 inches long. He is my lean mean machine. He rolls completely over, grabs his toes and sucks on them and giggles all the time. Last night we discovered that he is ticklish. If you tickle him by his chunky thighs he giggles and squeals in delight. It is so cool! Now tonight is the bad part......SHOTS! I sure hope he doesn't have a reaction to them. He is also eating sweet peas and sweet potatoes now with his cereal. When you put the spoon by his mouth he says "mmmmmmmmmm." He just loves his food! My baby is growing up!

4 months old! WOW

My little man is four months old! I can't believe it. I say man because he doesn't need his mommy so much anymore. Just for his feedings only mommy can give and when he goes to sleep at night and wants to be cuddled. Otherwise he is mr. independent. This morning my alarm went off at 6:30 and he was in his bed playing and talking to his bumper pad. Not a care in the world. I turned on his mobile and I don't even think he noticed I was there. When I was done with my shower I went in and got him to feed and I was greeted with the biggest smile. I am so in love with him! I have had these very sappy moments lately where I am just overwhelmed with the feeling of being blessed. As I look back over the 3 years it took us to have him, I get choked up. Not just because of the struggles we went through, but because of the struggles that others are going through too. I can't imagine not being a mom and it hurts me to think there are so many others out there that may never know that feeling of being truly blessed. Philip is so precious to me and I sometimes I find myself crying at work, like I did so many times during the 3 years we tried for him. Now my tears are because I'm blessed and miss my little guy like crazy. To all of you that are reading this and still in the trying phase I send you strength to keep trying and just know that you too will be a mommy someday. Don't give up on your dream.

Here is my future Spartan!

I know, I know.....

I'm really bad at this posting thing. Bad mommy! My little guy is growing up to be quite the little man. I can't believe how much he has changed lately. It is just crazy to think that he is going on 4 months old. He can giggle, when he wants to, which is usually directed at Daddy. He can roll from his back to his belly, which he does at night when he wants to go to sleep and pretty much only sleeps on his back now. He is starting to cry now when people he doesn't know talks to him or tries to hold him. This quirk can go away as far as I'm concerned. He also can blow bubbles and make noises with his tongue, raspberries! What a stinker he is I tell you. He is getting to be so much fun now and I just love spending the day with him. On Tuesday though, that comes to an end. School officially starts and mommy has to bring the buggy to the sitters. We did a trial run on Monday and then again tomorrow and mommy hates dropping him off with a passion. He does good there and I really like our sitter. I actually used to watch her when she was little.

Here are a few new pictures of my little man. Be prepared for some cuteness!

Here is Philip with Daddy when I came home from the store the other day.

He thinks he is so cute in his hat! What a cutie pie!

Funny Story...

For those of us that are short, you will appreciate the humor in this story. If you are tall, you won't find the story as funny.

A couple of Sunday's ago I had to work. When I'm at work, Ryan keeps buggy to spend time with him one on one. It was a beautiful sunday and Ryan wanted to go outside and water the garden. Philip was having an off day, and wasn't in the mood for being fussed with but wanted to be held. I hate days like those. We have a front snuggli that was given to us that fits Ryan perfectly since he is so tall. The bjorn isn't as good because he has such a long torso. Ryan is about 6'7" for those of you that don't know him.

I wasn't familiar with the snuggli, so I put it on and fiddled with it until I got it to snap on right and put Philip in it to make sure it was latched right. I took Philip out and said to Ryan, here put this on. I left the spot hooked up for his legs to slip through. This goes around your waist, blah blah blah. So he puts it on and hooks it up. I hand him Philip......you know where I'm going with this, right? He lifts Philip up and I hear "bonk" followed by a soft cry that leads into a scream. What I heard next had me laughing until I was crying. Ryan says...."Oh, buggy....Daddy's sorry! He didn't know the ceiling was right there." Didn't know the ceiling was right there? What? He hands me Philip to calm down and is very upset that he had hurt his son. Philip was fine, he had the lightest mark on his head and wasn't really crying out of pain, just crying to be a pain. Ryan bends over and kisses Philip on the head and says "Daddy loves you buggy!" Philip in return says "oooh glup aaaggg." My interpretation of that is "D$%# dad, WTF?"

Ryan sat there for a moment and then proceed to tell me it wasn't funny that he had "hurt" his son and I shouldn't be laughing. After I explained how "I didn't know the ceiling was there" sounded to a short person, he found the humor in it too. Now when Philip looks at something crossed-eyed I can blame his brain damage on his father's neglect to remember the ceiling was there!

I'm a bad mom!

I can't believe that I haven't posted in so long. I'm just terrible at keeping everyone up do date on my little man. We are doing wonderfully well. He is growing like a weed now. We went to the doc on Wednesday and at 10 weeks he is 13lbs 5oz and 23 and 1/4 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for his weight......apparently mom has good growing juice! I can't believe how much weight he has gained! 4lbs in 4 weeks, not too bad for a breastfed baby.

I just love being a mom and he is such a good baby. He doesn't really cry, and that's a good thing because mom doesn't like to hear him cry. I get teary eyed too! He goes for his shots on Monday and dad is going with us. I know it's good for him to cry, but still makes me sad to hear it. That is why daddy is coming with us.

Here is a few new pics of him, that really aren't that new anymore because he is growing so fast.

Here he is with daddy. He doesn't fit in this outfit anymore....it's one of my favs too!

7 weeks tomorrow!

I can't believe that Philip is almost 2 months old. They really do grow up too fast! We got some professional pictures done. The website is www.absolute-photo.net and go under customer galleries scroll down to maatman and the password is philip once you click enter gallery. They are way too cute. He was so very crankie that day, I'm surprised that the photos even turned out. The pictures with the ones and the tax deduction onsie is a gift for my sister the accounting major. The onsie of course was a gift from her!

My little guy has started to smile now at people. He of course smiles more at Ryan and just whines at me. I'm his food supply, so no smiles for me! He also started to rub his eyes when he gets sleepy, which is too funny. His hand is so little and so is his eye, so it is quite funny to watch. I'm trying to get him to sleep in his crib, but that isn't going to well. He was sick for a little while with a stuffy nose and ended up in the carseat to sleep for too long I think. Now when I lay him down in his crib, he wakes up after a few minutes because he is moving I think. The carseat keeps him from moving around too much and the crib doesn't. I'm thinking of putting his boppy in the crib and trying to get him to sleep in that. I can get a 2 hour nap out of him if I put him on his belly, but don't dare do that at night. To be honest I'm not ready to put him in his room yet. Isn't that terrible! Here is a picture of him, it isn't recent but cute!

1 month old already!

Can you believe it? My little guy is 1 month old. Oh my time flies when you are sleep deprived and in need of a good soaking in the tub. I'm the one that needs the soaking, not Philip. For whatever reason my little buggie boo doesn't think he needs to nap. He is a big boy now....sure. He thinks he needs to be up all day, which is fine, but I don't get anything done and the little goober is so dog gone tired that he cires. That is what I don't like to hear. The constant crying, which will abruptly stop when he is picked up by anybody. At least it isn't just me he wants, anyone will do, but the crying is just too much! I told him that all he had going for him was the fact that he is too cute for words. The little booger had the gull to laugh and smile at me. Evil little thing isn't he!

I will add pictures when I get my computer to C-O-O-P-E-R-A-T-E which is probably about the time that my S-O-N will!

Our little man!

Here is a better picture of our man that his aunt kim took the day after he was born.

Photobucket

He is down a few ounces now to 7lbs 15oz but is still doing well. He didn't sleep well last night so that means I didn't sleep well either. Ryan took him at 3:30 to try his hand at getting him to sleep. I'm glad he did, because it worked and allowed me to get about 3 hours in myself. Ryan had to sleep with him in his arms reclined in the chair. I don't think you can spoil a newborn, so if he wants to be warm and sleep in Daddy's arms be my guest. The nurse came in this morning and swaddled him, laid him on his side and out he went. Thanks....can I take her home with me? Do you know how many hours we tried that last night to no avail. What a bugger we have on our hands. The good news is he is breastfeeding like a champ and my milk has come in. I can now join the ranks of the milk maid. A group I'm honored to be a part of.

Welcome Philip Benjamin!

What a long and exhausting week we have had! Mother's Day started out boring. Went to breakfast with Ryan's family and then had my mom over for "dinner." It was subway for the boys and mom and I had a chicken from the deli. Exciting, huh! On Friday the 9th I was dilated to a 2 and was completely thinned. She didn't think I would make it through the weekend, and quite honestly I didn't think I would either. I was way wrong. She made an appointment for Tuesday and said we would talk induction if I hadn't had him yet. We went on Tuesday and I was the same as Friday. She told me to go to the hospital at 8 and I would take a pill to soften my cervix more and start labor. I was having contractions every 3 minutes all night. Wednesday morning she gave me another pill and said she would come back at lunch to break my water. By lunch time I was only a 3 and she thought breaking my water would make things come more hot and heavy. She also ordered pitocin for me. At this time I was having contractions every 2 minutes and I could tolerate them. After she broke my water they came hot and heavy and got very intense. After an hour we had to stop the pitocin because buglet's heartrate dropped too low and he wasn't handling it very well. I labored until 8:30 and by then was begging for an epidural. After that, I didn't feel the contractions and she hoped I would dilate more. They restarted the pitocin and he handled it much better the second time. She came in at 10:45 to check my progress and I was only a 4. Poor buglet was starting to get a bruise on his head and she didn't think I would be able to dilate anymore so we had no choice but to do a c-section. Not what I wanted at all. I started to cry and said I needed to make phone calls to family. I'm glad I didn't have too much time to think about it because I would have freaked out more. My parents made a 20 minute trip in 3 minutes and were there to send us off to the or. We rolled in at 11:08 and he was born at 11:12 pm Wednesday night. He was 8lbs 5oz and 21 inches long. He came into the world crying elephant tears and screaming his lungs out. What a cool thing to see and experience. I leave the rest for later and add some pictures.

36w5d

I can't believe that I'm getting so close! OMG I am not ready. I still have to pack my bag, put the car seat in Ryan's truck, put together the stroller, prepare for labor...my list goes on and on. Will I ever be completely ready? No, probably not, but I would like to have a plan in place at least. I have been practicing my labor breathing and working out our route to the hospital in my mind. Been toying with the "do I want an epidural or not" thinking. I'm thinking yes I do....no sense in being a hero. I'm scared at how Ryan will react to me being in pain. I don't think that he is going to react as well as he thinks. I am putting my money on the fact that he will be down and out for the count. He originally wanted to video tape, but I don't think that he will even think about it once we get going. Thank goodness, because that is something I wouldn't want to come out a dinner party!

I went to the doc yesterday and it turns out that I'm 50% effaced, dilated to a 1 and the baby is at -2 station. What the means is my cervix is thinning out and opening and the baby is engaged in my pelvis, just where he should be. Yeah! As far as how long I have to wait for him to come out is in the air. I just want to make it to May 1 and then he come at any point.

I have some pictures that I will post on Monday. Wow, my belly has dropped. I'm waddling now too. Never thought I would be a waddler, but boy am I ever.

32 Weeks

I can't believe that I'm offically 32w4d now. OMG! We started our labor and delivery class on Tuesday. Holy overwhelming I tell you. She cramed way too much info at us and just made me more nervous and scared than before I walked in the door. They talked about the baby dropping, I think they called it lightening, about 2 to 4 weeks before you go into labor. I do believe folks that little buglet has dropped.....OMG! Have I mentioned the fact that I'm not ready yet? I don't want to go through labor! Can we slow down here for a moment and just take a deep breath? Am I normal or am I just being stupid? Wow, I don't feel any better but it sure is nice to see that in words and not just thoughts going through my head every 5 minutes.

Anywho, have some funny stuff to share with you. This part isn't funny, but I have been battling a cold/whatever now for over a week. I'm on antibiodics again and am just hoping and praying for a little relief one of these days. My cough is deep and irritaing and my nose will not stop running now. I look like rudolph from wiping my nose all the time. I'm keeping Ryan awake at night with the rumbling of my chest. It isn't pretty. Last week friday I decided that I was going to lock my 3 cats out of my bedroom. They are taking up way too much room in bed and I can't seem to get comfy these days and I'm done with them sleeping at my feet. I closed both doors, tight, gave myself some tylenol pm and was out for the count. About 4 am I felt my body moving, like I was falling. I felt Ryan moving me in bed and asked what he was doing. I looked down and at my feet were 3 cats and I had no leg, AGAIN! They must have formed a pyramid in outside our door so that they could break in to sleep with mommy. I have decided to give up and just let them sleep in there and Ryan is nice enough to share his minimal leg room with me. Being 6 and a half feet tall he doesn't have much to begin with. Ryan left for work and I went back to sleep. About 3 hours later our big male cat would leave me alone. He keep sticking his nose under my arm and trying to get under the sheets with me. Quite frankly he was pissing me off. Finally I sat up and said "For the love of God leave me the frick alone!" It was then that I noticed what he was going after. Got Milk? I do! My milk had started to leak and the sheets had a spot on them and he could smell it. Did I mention that I'm not ready to go into labor yet? I'm not going to do it? Goodness this is all going too fast. Can we slow down just a little bit maybe? Please?

Here is my 32 week Photo:

This is a picture of crib that we all finally agreed on. I didn't think it was possible for us all to agree, but we did it. Way to go family!
Philip's crib

sorry it's so small. If you click on it, doesn't make it any bigger. We are putting it up this weekend, so I'll make sure to get photos up on Monday of what his room looks like so far. I'm getting really excited and I think that once the crib is up and the cradle is set, then I'll calm down. Fingers crossed that will happen!

Much awaited photo....

is finally here. It isn't that good of a photo because I took it myself at school today. You can see the crappy paint job they did on my unforgiving red door behind me. You get what you pay for, huh! This picture is 31w2d according to my new due date. My ob thinks that I won't make it to 40 weeks, she is prediciting the first part of May. That would be nice, but I know that nothing is set in stone so I won't hold my breath. I know he will come when he is ready. I'm so huge, but have only gained 7 pounds now. I feel like I have gained more than that, but the scale tells me different. I had gained 9 pounds, but lost 2 at my last visit. I still can't believe how easy pregnancy has been on me. I was really thinking that it would be a lot harder and I wouldn't enjoy it as much. I was wrong. I want to meet my little man and all, but it sure is neat to see my stomach move and feel him kick and turn. So here it is:

my big ol' belly

My goodness I need to do something with my hair. My friend is learning how to do hair and she is willing to get me all pretty for labor and delivery and I'm taking her up on it. I want to be a diva and look sexy. Like I will care at that point anywho, but you know.

Well Ryan made it through cuts and even ended up with a little overtime this week. How nice is that? I can't believe they ended up cutting 35 people this time and they may be cutting more. Only time will tell. They also asked him to be the person who trains people for proper crane usage and using the hi-lo. Big time stuff apparently. He is pretty happy that he was saved and needless to say we got a full nights sleep last night finally. Boy did I need that. I can't believe how tired I get these days. It seems like just walking from my car to the house requires a shot of oxygen. Like I said I feel like I have gained 30 pounds. It mostly depends on his position though. If he is high then it is worse. If he is low than I feel much better when I'm moving around.

Well that's all for now. Tomorrow I will post a picture of our crib. My mom found a nice one that we all agreed on.

I hate Mondays!

Mondays never used to bother me, but for some reason now they just plain suck. Today is D-day at Ryan's work and they are laying people off. I haven't heard anything from him, so I'm guessing that he is ok. He has almost 13 years in, but with them not being a union shop I don't know if that will help him or not. Unfortunately one of his buddies got the layoff today. Man that just sucks!

Some of my blog land friends are going through some rough times right now. That isn't fair either. Life can be so cruel and evil sometimes and I don't understand why. I feel so guilty that my belly is full of a kicking healthy baby and yet others who deserve the same aren't getting their dreams. I know I have been through a lot myself to get here, but it still doesn't take away the hurt and emptiness I feel when I read the latest miscarriage story or the next BFN. I wish I could do something to help everyone get that deserving BFP. It breaks my heart what some have to go through. It just isn't fair.

Almost all done.....

with my pregnancy and with the snow, I hope. I'm so sick of the snow and hope to not have to look at it too much longer. I don't know how much I can handle. The cats have spring fever too and want to go on the 3 season porch so badly. It breaks my heart to see them crying and begging to go out there. I just don't want to heat it right now or I would let them out. Poor babies!

Not too much too report on the whole pregnancy thing. He is doing much better as am I now that the influenza virus has left us. Thank goodness for Tamiflu. I can't believe how many people have come down with the virus. From what I understand it isn't just my area, it's all over the U.S.

I keep forgetting to have Ryan take a belly shot of me. I'm so bad at it. I wish I would have done more before, but I'll try and take the last few weeks at least of his growth. In the mean time I will post pictures of my Hubby.

He went fishing on New Year's Eve and caught this monster Crappie. He turned it into the state DNR and just found out he caught the 3rd biggest crappie of 2007. He is so proud of his fish. I took some pictures of it before we brought it to be mounted.

Here he is with his big ol' fish:

Here is a "normal" size crappie:

I hope that he is as proud of his son as he is of this fish!

Influenza.....ugh!

I have influenza......yuck! I feel like I have been hit by a semi. I feel so incredibly yucky it isn't even funny. My Mother-in-law got the bug at the beginning of the month and didn't bother to tell me until I had been around her for a few hours that she had it. We had gone to see Ryan's grandpa in the nursing home and met up with Gwen while we were there. Unknowingly, we stayed for a few hours and visited with them and when we went to leave grandpa asked us to go down to dinner with him. So we did and while we were there the workers were talking about the B wing being on quarentine and the fact that hardly anyone was at dinner because of it. Stupid me asked why and they said that everyone had influenza. What!?! Don't you think you should post that on the door for people coming in? Then Gwen tells me that is what the doctor thinks she has......GREAT! I'm going to go disinfect my whole body now, thanks. Needless to say Ryan and I weren't happy when we left. I yelled at one of the workers about being rude for not posting a sign on the door and we left. Give me a break! Then around valentine's day my mom came down with it. She was nice enough to not come around me for about 6 days until it had run it's course on her. She didn't want me to get sick. Then last friday my husband got the bug, big time! It isn't the normal flu that we all think of, the out both ends type. It is more of a cold that hits your chest and nose and gives you a headache and body aches and makes you just feel so icky. I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back because I want to make sure my little buglet is ok. He hasn't been too active lately and I want to make sure everything is ok. I know I'm a worry wart, but I waited so long for him that I don't want anything to happen to him. I'm only 29 weeks, so he has to stay put for a little while longer. Maybe I'll get lucky and they will order an ultrasound today and I'll get to see him again. I love seeing him.

Hope everyone else is doing fine. I'll try not to pass on my virus to all of you.

I'm so bad at this blogging thing!

I can't believe that I broke my promise and haven't kept up on my blog. I also can't believe that the little ticker to the left shows under a 100 days left. I remember when there was over 200 days on that thing. My how time flies when you are having fun. Things here have been stressful to say the least. I have been trying to take myself to a happy place on a more regular basis because to be quite honest, I can't stand much more of this. Last week I was having braxton hicks on a regular basis and that was no fun my friends. We had a long weekend with school and I have done nothing for the last 5 days and I am happy to say that I have never felt better. We had Monday off for President's day and then today off because of the snow and maybe even tomorrow. Hopefully the snow will stop soon. Living on the lake is fun in the summer, but not in the winter when you get the lake effect all the time. We have had over 100 inches of snow so far this winter and it doesn't look like there is any end in sight. I'll have to take and post some pictures of the snow we have had.

Here are a couple of mile marks we have hit lately that I didn't blog about yet.

* January 7 I saw the baby move my belly for the first time on the outside.

* January 14 Ryan felt him move for the first time through my stomach. He got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and came back to cuddle up with me, he claims but I know it was to steal my body heat, and the baby let him know in no uncertain terms that is his belly and not Daddy's. The baby is very active at night and I don't notice it yet, thankfully.

*February 12 (by my original due date) I hit the 3rd and final trimester. Oh my goodness my belly has grown. I owe everyone a belly shot since I haven't been posting them. I will take one in the next couple of days and post it on here since I'm offically 7 months along now according to What to expect when you're expecting.

My mom and I were going to go crib shopping yesterday but didn't get the chance to because she is sick with influenza. Yuck! I'm staying as far away from her as I can get. The last thing I need is to come down with that. Baby doesn't need to get sick right now and needs to stay put for a little while yet.

I know this was a boring post and all, I'll try to make the next one more fun. There really hasn't been too much going on to even bore you with details.

I'm such a slacker!

I haven't posted in like, forever! I know, I know I'm the worst blogger in blogger land. I have been so busy that I have barely had time to breathe lately and not having the internet at home hasn't helped. I know, excuses excuses but it really is the truth.

Pregnancy wise, everything is going great. Our little man is growing good and our due date was moved up 2 days to mother's day. Wouldn't that be a welcomed surprise. Ryan is really shooting for me to go into labor on the weekend so he is at home with me and not at work when labor starts. That would be nice. Knowing me I'll be the type to drive myself to the hospital and call him to meet me there. He starts his vacation on the 12th of May, so hopefully I'll have the baby during that time so he can experience everything with me.

I'm starting to feel our buglet move around more and more. The other day I was in bed and he kicked my stomach and I felt it on the outside before I realized what had happened. It was the coolest feeling. As I type this I can feel him moving inside of me. I don't feel him on a regular basis yet, but am feeling him more and more. We had a sub doc yesterday, I think that was preperation for labor by giving me someone other than my OB, and she told me that my uterus is behind now, measurement wise. I don't understand how that could be, but ok. She didn't have me laying completely flat when she measured me, and my doc normally does, so I'm wondering if that had anything to do with it. She said baby is fine and measuring ahead, so no worries. Just makes you wonder why she said anything then. Oh, well! I can't believe that I have less than 18 weeks left and I still have to work out my maternity leave. Nothing like waiting until the last second, huh! I'm not too worried, I know it will all work out.

That's all for now and I will try to keep this updated more. Promise!
